I like zoom a lot when it comes to online meeting tools. It's very stable and compatible, but sometimes i find it asks me to upgrade to a new version too frequently.

A lot of problems on Mac, I definitely prefer Google Meet as far as I'm concerned. Obviously in the case of webinars it becomes a great resource, but the problems encountered have turned me off the product a bit.
Boy, you want to talk about timing? Zoom came out at just the right time, and captured a huge audience that needed a way to videoconference. I use Google Chat and Skype, depending on the technical ability of the person I'm talking to. They don't have the time limitations that Zoom has. But Zoom has to be the easiest for most people, and so a lot of the people I know ended up buying a subscription. Which is fine. If I need to use it for more than 20 minutes with someone, we just time out and dial in again. No problem.
I use Zoom for almost everything — calls with family and friends, work meeting, and English classes. Here are some features I especially love: // high-quality video // virtual backgrounds // screen sharing
Overall I've been really happy with Zoom. I started using it at the beginning of the pandemic when our organization purchased a license. I'll admit I hadn't heard of Zoom before this, but I can understand why it became so popular. It's still my goto for virtual meetings even though most events have resumed meeting in person. I think some of the interactive features could still use some work. Polls often seem to be confusing for others to set up and Zoom apps haven't really caught on yet.
