We use Supabase for HireKey’s database, authentication, and document storage. Having these foundations together has helped us manage user accounts and application data while building out the product.
Supabase runs Jango's accounts and cloud storage. Auth, Postgres with row-level security and migrations all in one place let me go from a local-only app to synced accounts without building a backend from scratch. Ideal for a solo maker.
The mothership holding all the bits & bytes.
Our platform runs on Supabase - auth, Postgres, edge functions. We're a small team with no dedicated backend engineers and it covers that gap well. Migrations and branching make staging manageable, and the built-in advisors have caught security issues before they became problems. We've reworked large parts of the product twice and never had a reason to reconsider it. We prototyped on the free tier and it was enough to validate the product. Once real users arrived we moved to paid without drama - the jump is reasonable and predictable. Solid for us at early-stage scale - no outages that hit customers, and performance issues so far have been our own query problems, which the dashboard makes easy to find. Can't speak to huge scale yet. Not really. It's plain Postgres underneath, so the data layer is portable - a pg_dump would move cleanly. The stickier parts are auth and edge functions, but that's a migration project, not a hostage situation. It hasn't worried us in practice.
Supabase struck the right balance between speed, flexibility, and control. It helped us move quickly as a startup while still giving us a scalable foundation and a great developer experience.
Big shoutout to the Supabase team for being an essential part of our stack on day one. We chose Supabase as the backbone for our product because it hits the sweet spot between power and practicality. The authentication features are robust, secure, and flexible, which let us implement real world auth flows quickly without sacrificing security or spending weeks on boilerplate. It felt like production grade infrastructure that we could adopt in hours instead of days. The collaborative interface has also been a huge win for our team. The dashboard makes it easy for engineers, founders, and non technical teammates to explore data, adjust schemas, and understand what is happening in the product. It feels like a database platform designed for modern teams, not just database administrators. As an early stage company, the generous free tier gave us the breathing room to experiment, iterate, and validate without constantly worrying about cost. At the same time, it never felt like a toy environment. We were comfortable building features that we knew would carry forward as we scale. Edge Functions have been a game changer for us. Being able to run server side logic close to the user, tightly integrated with our database, simplified our architecture and improved performance. It let us ship features faster with less infrastructure overhead. Supabase has been the perfect database platform to get up and running quickly while giving us a clear path to scale as our product and user base grow.
We use Supabase because it provides a great backbone for our db and realtime.
Helped us get up and running fast, and though some things are not perfect, it's an awesome tool. Saved us having to set up our whole database from scratch!
Supabase atm is at another level. They make things so easy. Use them for auth and db
Our realtime backbone. Device logs, agent events, and test states sync instantly thanks to Supabase’s rock-solid infra.
It gives us auth, database, and storage out of the box, while staying close to a familiar Postgres stack
