Every graphic, gallery image, and launch asset for IFTTT.ai was designed in Figma.

I’ve used Figma every day for 6+ years of UI/UX work, mostly freelance. Components, auto layout and sharing a link with a client instead of exporting files changed how I work. The one thing I kept doing by hand was 3D mockups for launch images, which is why I ended up building Perspecto. For everything else, it’s still where my work starts.

Although many aim to create visual solutions and interfaces directly in code, Figma still remains the primary tool for collaborative digital product development, as it allows seeing the complete picture of the product in one place: it brings teams together in real time, simplifies prototyping, and provides instant access to up-to-date project versions.

Every screen of our product goes through Figma before it gets built. I've spent the past month on onboarding and marketplace UX redesigns, and all of it gets worked out in the file - comments instead of meetings, live sessions instead of handoffs. As a non-designer founder the part I value most is that I can actually participate: leave comments, check specs, move frames around. It keeps design a team activity rather than a black box. Our product files are fine. The one file that crawls is a marketing archive with hundreds of pages of imported assets - splitting it fixed things. Component-heavy working files have been smooth. For actual designers, not steep. For everyone else there's a middle period where you know enough to break auto-layout. Basics like commenting and inspecting take a day; comfort takes a couple of weeks of real use. Yes - variables and styles cover our tokens, and our AI coding tools read them straight from the file via the API and MCP server, so designs translate to code without a manual handoff step. That bridge has gotten noticeably better in the last year.

I used the Figma connector for designing the background interfaces of the app screens and the logo as well.

For making UI design accessible to everyone. That's exactly the bar we're trying to reach for hardware.

Every Kirki canvas design, template kit, and marketing asset started in Figma. It inspired us so much we built a native Figma to Kirki importer — so designers can go from Figma directly to a live WordPress site without rebuilding from scratch.

Figma deserves a special thank you for helping us bring the visual identity of Oasis to life. Figma’s Dev Mode and MCP have been game changing for translating our designs into a real browser interface that actually matches our vision. UI used to feel finicky and fragile for us, and we often felt like we could never quite get it right in code, no matter how good the mockups looked. With Figma, that changed. The handoff between design and development became clear, precise, and fast, so our engineers could focus on polish instead of guesswork. Being able to inspect styles, tokens, and components directly, then mirror them in our codebase, is what made it possible for us to apply our unique and carefully crafted aesthetic vision of Oasis across the entire browser interface. Because of Figma, we were finally able to fully realize the look and feel we had in our heads and on our canvases, and make it the everyday experience of using Oasis.

Figma and FigJam are where our product comes to life. FigJam for whiteboarding flows and brainstorming, Figma for turning those ideas into pixel-perfect designs. The handoff between thinking and shipping has never been smoother.
